MISSION OF MERCY MAGNIFIED is a charitable organization guided by the Holy Spirit, dedicated to Serving God by Serving Others.

Serving others through the acts of the Corporal Works of Mercy is the perfect way to discover one's charisms while also deepening their faith.

WHY THE CORPORAL ACTS OF MERCY?

In Matthew 25:35-45 (see below for quoted Scripture)

Jesus focuses on the Works of Mercy as the criteria of the Last Judgment.

God's mercy for us is endless, and likewise, He calls us to be merciful to those in need around us.

Mercy is LOVE in action.

WHAT ARE CHARISMS?

Charism comes from the Greek word (charis) used in the New Testament for 'favor' or 'freely given gift from God.'

Charisms are special abilities, a special empowerment, given to Christians by the Holy Spirit to enable them to be powerful channels of God’s love and redeeming presence in the World.  Whether extraordinary or ordinary, charisms are to be used in charity or service to build up the Church.  One of the ways the Holy Spirit pours out upon the Church is through charisms. When a person has a charism, supernatural grace is given to lead others to experience the healing power of Jesus’ love and thereby build up the body of Christ.

WHY THIS WEBSITE?

We are volunteers and wish to serve others in our community. However, trying to find Christian organizations that aligned with our beliefs was a complicated process, as well as trying to find the ways a person or group could get involved.

This site is meant to remedy that situation by directing those wanting to serve local faith-based charities and providing the varying ways they can bless both the organization and the world around them through giving of themselves.

"So in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others. We have different gifts, according to the grace given to each of us."

-St. Paul in Romans 12:5-6

"Man cannot fully find himself, except through a sincere gift of himself."

-St. Pope John Paul II

MATTHEW 25:35-45

35 For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, 36 I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’

37 “Then the righteous will answer him, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you something to drink? 38 When did we see you a stranger and invite you in, or needing clothes and clothe you? 39 When did we see you sick or in prison and go to visit you?’

40 “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

41 “Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the eternal fire prepared for the devil and his angels. 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me.’

44 “They also will answer, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you?’

45 “He will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these, you did not do for me.’
