The Society of St. Vincent de Paul is a non-profit charitable organization. The Society of St. Vincent de Paul, Cedar Rapids, assists with food, clothing, rent, utilities, and other services to people facing economic, emotional, or spiritual crises.
As a private, non-profit charity, the Society relies almost exclusively on private individuals, businesses, and organizations locally for support.
Our Lord reminds us that whatever we do for the poor among us, we do for Him. We hear Him with our hearts and minds, but the daily demands of life can leave us without the opportunity to respond in a most personal way. Your Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVDP) is that opportunity.

OPPORTUNITIES
One-time Group Projects:
Various group projects include cleaning, ground clean-up, and painting. Supplies are always needed for the food bank, monetary donations to help run the facility, and items for the thrift store (no beds, tv's stereos, or large appliances please.) Contact us and we will let you know how you can help.
Ongoing Individual Positions Available:
Receive and organize donations, hang clothing and price items; clean and stock shelves and displays; general maintenance on the grounds, meet with clients, answer phones; process clothing and housewares vouchers, post on social media; assist with fundraising events, research grant opportunities, food pantry set up and clean up, assemble food boxes, receive and organize food items.
